NORTH WEST AREA

A major league restructure took place by England Hockey in 2021 following consultation with every club in the country and 86% voting in favour. The aim being to create more equal areas based on density of teams and travel times, a leaner system with c50 fewer organisations and c100 fewer committees and one common framework of league rules (from 40).

The Lancashire Central Women's Hockey League and the regional North Hockey League were disbanded and we now part of the 'North West Area'.

Current League Structure
From 2021-22, the new pathway for our club, in ascending order, and the divisions our teams will compete in are:

Womens Division 5 North (Central) - 4th team (Grade 5 level)
Womens Division 4 North (Central) - 3rd team (Grade 4 level)
Womens Division 3 North (Central) - 2nd team (Grade 4 level)
Womens Division 2 North (Grade 3 level)
Womens Division 1 (Grade 2 level)
Womens Premier - 1st team (Grade 2 level)

Mens Division 5 North (Grade 5 level)
Mens Division 4 North - 1st team (Grade 4 level)
Mens Division 3 North Grade 3 level)
Mens Division 2 (Grade 3 level)
Mens Division 1 (Grade 2 level)
Mens Premier (Grade 2 level)
