Wyre Community Lottery

1. Wyre Community Lottery

We participate in the Wyre Community Lottery.... your chance to win £25,000 in a weekly prize draw, simply by buying a ticket for £1.

Complimenting our other stream, easyfundraising, the WCL is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in Wyre. Our application met the criteria and we are now registered as a good cause meaning we are now supported by anyone who buys a ticket.

How it works
Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 per week (way less than the cost of a Starbucks) and can be purchased by anyone in the UK, aged over 16, online or by phone... so friends, family and colleagues can join in too. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000. That’s a better chance of winning than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery!

Each ticket consists of 6 numbers and each number is between 0 and 9. The draw is every Saturday night when a 6 digit winning combination is picked. Prizes are given to players with tickets that match the first or last 2-6 numbers from the winning combination. Match all 6 and you win the JACKPOT!

What it means for us
The lottery and its prizes are Wyre Council's way of putting the fun in fundraising. The real winners are the good causes like us. From every £1 ticket sold, 60p goes to them. To put this in perspective, when you play the National Lottery, 25% goes to good causes and you don’t get to choose where your money goes.

By supporting our cause, you make sure we get 50p of that 60p - the remaining 10p is distributed to other good causes signed up for the scheme.

What its meant for supporters playing
We've had flurries of supporters winning extra tickets and cash prizes, including a £250, since we partnered with the WCL in 2020.

What we'd like you to do

  • Buy at least 1 ticket each week.
  • Spread the word - tell your family, friends and colleagues about it and encourage them to take part.

We hope you'll join us in making our Club even better and have some fun along the way!
