Garstang L4s kept up their fantastic start to the new season, taking on the early league leaders, and got to exact revenge for last seasons highway robbery... playing some lovely hockey from the start and right through the team, putting a good experienced side to the test and the game to the bed before the half-time whistle of mercy.

The second half started with twinkle-toed Emilia making some great use of her feet and pads to keep Southport at bay. Complemented by staunch defending that was put under serious threat in the second half, but the warriors in skorts and shorts stood strong and held firm to quash Southport's strong fightback.

The midfield maestro and dynamic duo of Helen & Maisie Rogers protected the defence and launched attacks in equal measure of guile, tenacity, and pace (a bit like the Marsh sister's performance yesterday, seems like they had their own personal competition going on???).

Solid performances in every position from everyone, and with the forward's hard work making life a nightmare for the home defence with a high pressing and intensity game. Helen, Maisie Rogers and Claire filling their boots with 3 good well worked team goals, and a cheeky volley at the back post from our own 'singing striker' Maise Clash...all in all, a fantastic game and result.
