Good defence and we did challenge them in their D well. At least you were not playing in a fridge/ice shower like the L3s. Garstang took some time to settle into the game but embraced their team play and worked hard to intercept the ball and maintain possession. Fylde came to try and attack but the Garstang team would not give in, maintaining a 0-0 draw at half time.

The second half saw a brief lapse in judgement result in Fylde scoring to go 1-0 up with a ball crawling over the line. Determined to fight back, Garstang made some positional changes and successfully stood strong at the back and played the ball well into midfield. A strong pass from the defence led to a great shot on goal by Claire resulting in a 1-1 score at full time.

A well deserved draw which Garstang will look to reflect on, build and come back stronger in the upcoming games. Well done everybody.
