North West Hockey recently introduced the brilliant concept of a summer league for Masters players...with a twist! Here's how it works:

1. GK can be either sex, any Masters age group (35+)
2. Mixed teams normally 4 men + 6 ladies outfield; any number of subs allowed
3. Combined ages of outfield players must always add up to 500 or more at all times on the pitch as the match is in play
4. Playing approximately weekly, May to mid-July in a league structure with a tripartate finals day for qualifying teams
